Offical Rules

Team Pickleball Northwest

Objective – We want to foster community pride through competitive team-based play competition. Each team will represent cities/communities within the Northwest and be required to wear a team shirt with their city listed on the top back. Why should I participate? –
· Weekend competitive pickleball experience (About 5 hours scheduled play each day)
· Show your community pride
· Player perks (discount hotel stay, food & drink specials, vendor specials)

How do I participate? – Each team will need a “coach” (someone who is in charge). Start thinking of your ideal team to represent your community and develop your team. We recommend having up to 10 players on your roster so you can fill the minimum 4 player positions. Exact tournament dates and signups will be this summer. This is the time to start finding interested players and possibly get some city sponsors.
· Intermediate (6.5-7.5)  Team to travel with no more than 1- 4.5; 3- 4.0; 3- 3.5; and 1- 3.0 players
· Advanced (8.0-9.0)  Team to travel with no more than 1- 5.0; 3- 4.5; 3-4.0; and 1- 3.5 players

How much does it cost? – Each player will have an initial season membership fee to join the club “Team Pickleball Northwest” on Pickleballbrackets.com – Only players in the club are eligible to participate on the roster. Teams will then have a tournament fee as they register for each weekend. Exact costs have yet to be determined, but our goal is to have more competitive games at a lesser cost than the average tournament. Because this is a city team, you have an opportunity to gain community sponsorship to off-set your costs further.
